CIBC FirstCaribbean recognizes three charitable institutions with Christmas donation toward their efforts

Three organizations that have dedicated their time and effort to supporting the poor and vulnerable have come in for timely donations.

During this season of goodwill, and to assist in spreading yuletide cheer, CIBC FirstCaribbean has made a donation of $10,000 to the Salvation Army, Lions Club of Antigua, and the Antigua and Barbuda Red Cross.

“We are pleased to present $5,000 to the Salvation Army, $3,000 to the Lions Club of Antigua and $2,000 to the Antigua and Barbuda Red Cross,” the bank says in a press release.

Ladesa James-Williams, the bank’s Country Head, says it is aware of the “fantastic work being done by these organisations to assist the less fortunate,” and the bank considers it a privilege to be able to play a part.

All three organisations expressed appreciation for the bank’s generosity, which will greatly assist with their social programmes.  They say they are under even more pressure to assist due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
