500 Christmas Care Packages for Unemployed Hospitality Workers

The Antigua and Barbuda Workers Union and Antigua and Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association will tomorrow distribute 500 care packages to hospitality workers who to date have not been able to return to work since the lockdown due to the Covid -19 Pandemic in March.

This is the second distribution been done by both entities who also teamed up with Antigua Distillery to raise the funds needed for this timely distribution.

Hospitality Workers who have been unemployed across Antigua and Barbuda who applied for Christmas Care packages compliments the Antigua and Barbuda Workers Union/ABWU, The Antigua and Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association/ABHTA and Antigua Distillery can collect their package between 9am and 1pm at the Antigua and Barbuda Workers Union Headquarters on Newgate street.

The Antigua Distillery approached the ABHTA with an offer of a donation $2 from the sale of every bottle of their 5-year-old English Harbour Rum sold between November 30 and December 18.  The ABHTA and the ABWU were grateful for the donation 

We have all been affected in some way by this pandemic, some worse than others, let’s help our brothers and sisters.
