Every year on August 12th we commemorate International Youth Day which is designed to bring attention to the international community, the issues facing youth . It celebrates the potential of youth as active partners in our domestic and global communities. This year, we celebrate under the theme, “Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health”.
As a Fresh, New and Dynamic Organization, the DNA is committed to creating an enabling environment for all youth to grow, thrive and succeed. We are committed to focusing on achieving an acceptable degree of food and nutrition security as the gateway to eradicating poverty, building livelihoods and improving wellness within our nation.
With young innovative persons on our Team, we will work together to modernize and innovate our agriculture systems. We are committed to identifying and designating several cash crops that farmers and backyard gardeners can produce for sale to the CMC and other markets, including regional value chains.
We are committed to shaping an agro-processing industry as a plank in our push to diversify and expand our economy and will invest in quality manufacturing facilities to deliver quality Antiguan and Barbudan products.
We believe that with the right conditions, and the right leadership we can encourage the expansion of the agricultural sector as a means of promoting innovation and self-employment amongst the youth.

I invite you to join forces with the DNA to usher in a new era of leadership and governance in Antigua and Barbuda where our youth will be at the forefront of both social and economic redevelopment!”
