Council Member accuses Police on Barbuda of flatly refusing to deliver a Court Order to PLH

The Police on Barbuda stand accused of failing to carry out a court order.

Secretary of the Council Paul Nedd says that a High Court judge issued an order in reference to the Peace Love and Happiness (PLH) Project, which he attempted to get the Police to serve on the developers.

However, he says, the officers flatly refused to accept the court document.

According to Nedd, he then decided to deliver the correspondence himself; but the developers also refused to accept the court order.

Apparently, the Executive has given the investors the right not only to disrespect the Council, but any other authority, Nedd says.

Commenting on the alleged refusal of officers to assist, one Barbudan says: “This is the same Police which, when phoned by agents of the PLH, can arrive within five minutes to arrest members of the Council.”
