Persad-Bissessar attributed the decline to government efforts aimed at tackling violent crime, strengthening national security and providing additional resources to law enforcement agencies.

She also acknowledged that the country continues to face serious security challenges, particularly following several recent killings that have raised concerns among residents.

The Prime Minister said the government remains committed to improving public safety and supporting the country’s protective services.
