The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, known as CHOGM, has reached 297 students in Barbuda through its school outreach programme.
The initiative is intended to engage young people ahead of town hall meetings connected with the Commonwealth gathering. School outreach can help students learn about international cooperation and understand how decisions made through regional and international organisations relate to their lives.
The participation of Barbuda’s students also highlights the importance of including communities across Antigua and Barbuda in preparations for major international events.
