Woman Returned to Dominica From Antigua Charged in Jerbiah Paul Investigation

James has been charged with perverting the course of justice and possession of ammunition without a valid licence.

Acting Assistant Superintendent of Police and Police Public Relations Officer Fixton Henderson said James is expected to appear before the court today.

 

Paul was reported missing on July 24. Remains believed to be hers were discovered in Capuchin on August 12.

The investigation has resulted in charges against several people, including serving and former police officers.

Police Officer Joshua Hamlet was formally charged with Paul’s murder, becoming the second police officer to face a murder charge in connection with the investigation. Former police officer Jean-Luc Langlais, 23, was also arrested and charged with homicide.

 

Woman Returned to Dominica From Antigua Charged in Jerbiah Paul Investigation

Nyoka James, 21, of Marigot, who was charged in connection with Paul’s death, was remanded to the Dominica State Prison after her application for bail was denied.

Police Officer Rennick Stevens of Portsmouth was also remanded to prison after being charged with perverting the course of justice in connection with the case.

 

The investigation remains ongoing.
