Two Barbuda Council Members arrested during excursion to view Palmetto Point development

The Secretary of the Barbuda Council, Paul Nedd, and the Council member responsible for Barbuda’s Lands, Marine and Coastal Development, Devon Warner, were arrested this morning, September 18, by the Police.

The arrest was reportedly effected after Council members, along with over 60 villagers, attempted to gain access to the beach to see, first hand, the devastation that is being wreaked on the Palmetto Point area by the developers of the Peace Love and Happiness (PLH) Project.

Real News will have more on this developing story during our Drive Time Edition, which comes up at 5 p.m.
