The swearing in ceremony for St Vincent’s new Prime Minister Dr. Godwin Friday is set for 5pm at Government House.
Friday’s New Democratic Party romp home to victory in the 2025 election by winning 14 seats.
Friday will become the island’s fifth prime minister since its 1979 independence, after winning a tightly contested electoral race against long-serving former Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves.
The former prime minister Ralph Gonsalves was the only member of the ULP to retain his seat.
