Police are investigating a brazen daylight shooting in Bendals that left a man nursing a gunshot wound to his hand.
According to reports, at about 1:13 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, Mr. Thorne Brathwait of All Saints was driving along the Bendals public road when a white Honda Fit reportedly pulled alongside his vehicle.
A male occupant, whose identity remains unknown, allegedly opened fire in his direction.
Brathwait told police he immediately exited his vehicle and attempted to flee on foot.
The gunman and at least one accomplice allegedly pursued him, discharging several more rounds before one struck him in the palm of his hand.
Personnel from the Special Services Unit (SSU) and the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) were called to the scene.
The Firearm and Explosives Response Unit (FERU) were also notified as investigations continue.
