Central Board of Health Receives Computer Donation to Strengthen Public Health Surveillance

The Central Board of Health (CBH) has received a generous donation of five Lenovo desktop computers from the American University of Antigua (AUA), aimed at enhancing public health infrastructure and strengthening data surveillance capabilities.

The handover took place on July 14, 2025, and was facilitated by Mr. Vernon Solomon, AUA’s Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and Director of the Emergency Medicine Training Centre & Chemical Simulation, along with Mr. Lennie B. Quashie, Director of Facilities. The equipment was formally presented to Ms. Sharon Martin, Chief Health Inspector.

The donation will immediately support CBH’s efforts to store, manage, and analyze public health data more efficiently. This improvement in data management will enable the department to implement timely and effective health interventions across the country.

The CBH has expressed sincere appreciation to AUA for its continued support and commitment to national health priorities. This contribution is a valuable demonstration of partnership in advancing Antigua and Barbuda’s public health goals.
