Emmanuel Botsio’s Journey From Special Education to CSEC Honours

Emmanuel Botsio received a standing ovation at the 39th Annual ACB Caribbean National CSEC Awards after being honoured with the Director of Education’s Special Recognition Award.

Botsio, who began at the Adele School for Special Children and later joined the All Saints Secondary Learner Support Programme, overcame challenges to become the 2024 salutatorian. He earned a Grade I in Family Resource Management—his department’s only such result—and passed English A and Social Studies, with competencies in maths and science.

A gifted musician, Botsio plays drums, flute, and steel pan, earning accolades from Trinity College London. He credits his teachers, church, and community music programs for helping him thrive. Grateful for the journey, Botsio thanked God for his achievements.
