Statement from Rohan Patrice Hector, General Secretary of the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association

I wish to address and clarify recent public confusion surrounding news reports related to an individual named “Rohan Hector” who appeared before the court on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, in connection with firearm charges.

Let me state unequivocally: I am not the individual involved in this matter. My name is Rohan Patrice Hector, and I currently serve as General Secretary of the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA).

While the similarity in name has understandably caused concern, I want to assure the public, our football community, and all stakeholders that I have no connection whatsoever to the incident or the individual in question.

I am deeply grateful for the many messages, calls and expressions of concern I’ve received. Your support reinforces the values I stand by. I remain committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, both in my personal life and in my role with the ABFA. As the saying goes, “there is more than one dog named Bob.” In this case, name similarity has caused unfortunate confusion but facts and character speak for themselves.

Thank you for your understanding, and I encourage continued support for the ongoing positive development of football in Antigua and Barbuda.

Rohan Patrice Hector

General Secretary

Antigua and Barbuda Football Association
