An inspector of police has been charged with murder in Grenada.
The Royal Grenada Police Force has confirmed the arrest of Inspector Kellon Noel.
He has been charged with the offences of non-capital murder by unlawfully causing the death of Wellington Welsh, a 46-year-old, caretaker of Non Pariel, St Mark.
Noel was additionally charged with two counts of grievous harm.
According to the police, the charges stemmed from a March 27, 2025 shooting incident at Victoria, St Mark.
Noel is scheduled to make his first court appearance at St George’s Magistrate Court on Monday, May 5.
The inspector has since been suspended from active duty from the Royal Grenada Police Force.
