Defending Champions EZ Fit Flyers showcased a clinical performance at the JSC Sports Complex on Saturday evening when they took on Lava Smoke Shop Warriors defeating them 108-55 in ABBA Division One basketball action. The titleholders extended their lead at the top of the standing to 12-1 with wins to losses ratio.
The Flyers established control early and maintained their dominance throughout, winning all four quarters (28-23, 29-9, 24-17, 27-6) to secure the 53-point victory.
Selassie Brathwaite led the Flyers’ offensive assault with 29 points and 7 rebounds, while Adonis Humphreys added 20 points. Javonte Daley contributed 16 points and 8 assists, with Kwame Brathwaite recording a double-double of 12 points and 17 rebounds.
For the Warriors Faisal Obeidat scored a team-high 16 points while fellow Lincoln Weekesadded 15 points and a team-leading 5 assists, while Kebo Orford posted a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Division Two will resume on Monday. Spanish Heat will take on the Ovals Ojays in the first match while the red hot Old Road Daggers will take on Fearless Crew.
