The Calvin Ayre Foundation recently donated USD 79,000 to help a 10-year-old boy, Kishon John, who is courageously battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The funds have gone toward covering a part of his medical expenses for life-saving treatment in Colombia, where he will undergo specialized care not available locally. The donation also covered accommodation costs, as Kishon and his mom will need to be in Colombia for up to eight months.
Kishon John, a young boy from a close-knit community, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a form of cancer that affects the lymphatic system. Despite the challenges of his diagnosis, Kishon has remained resilient and hopeful. However, his family faced significant financial obstacles in accessing the necessary treatment, as specialized care for his condition is unavailable in Antigua and Barbuda. In response to Kishon’s urgent need, the Calvin Ayre Foundation, known for its commitment to supporting individuals and communities in need, stepped forward with a generous donation of $79,000. The donation will ensure that Kishon can receive the critical treatment he needs to fight this disease and cover the costs of his travel and accommodation in Colombia for the duration of his treatment.
