It has been one month since 39-year-old Orden “Passo” David was last seen leaving a casino on Market Street and although there have been countless search parties, as recently as last weekend, no further information about his whereabouts have surfaced.
In the latest update, the Police Public Relations Officer, Inspector Frankie Thomas, said investigators recently held a case conference to review evidence and information obtained, and to assess how to proceed.
“The search for Orden David and others who have been reported missing continues and will continue until they are found, or we have sufficient evidence to at least provide some level of closure to the families of their missing relatives.”
The police continue to appeal to the public for information into the circumstances surrounding his disappearance and whereabouts. They are also thankful for the support they have been receiving in the ongoing investigation.
David, a resident of Bolans who has worked at the AIDS Secretariat for over 15 years went missing on the night of January 25. His family is offering a $20,000 cash reward for anyone with information that can lead to his discovery.
David’s disappearance is a reminder to all families who have had the unfortunate fate of never hearing or seeing their loved ones again. Families like those of 43-year-old Donna-Marie Christian who went missing on November 4 last year, with no evidence made public that might lead to answers for her family.
In 2023, 76-year-old Winston ‘Mohammed’ Charles, who suffered with vision impairments and early signs of dementia, went missing in Liberta and has not been found. His story is reminiscent of 74-year-old Hyacinth Gage who was last seen by one of her daughters who left her at Mount St John’s Medical Centre to undergo some routine blood tests in May 2019. She was seen leaving the hospital before disappearing.
