Lawmen intercept $40K worth of cannabis at Deep Water Harbour

The police are currently investigating the discovery of drugs at one of the country’s seaports.

Reports indicate that approximately $40,000 worth of cannabis was intercepted at the Deep Water Harbour on February 21, during a routine search carried out by police and Customs officials.

Five vacuum-sealed packages of the controlled substance were found inside a barrel containing food items.

The drugs, which wieghed five pounds, were confiscated and transported to the police station for further investigation.

No arrests have been made in connection with this seizure.
