The Antigua and Barbuda Cricket Association (ABCA) Two-Day Competition heads into an exciting round of matches this weekend, with PIC Liberta Blackhawks maintaining their dominance at the top of the table.
The Blackhawks, who hold a perfect record with three wins from three matches and 36 points, will face Tertiary Institutions & Schools at Liberta on February 21st and 22nd. Their strong position has been bolstered by outstanding performances from Michael Greaves and Kofi James, who lead the batting charts with 262 and 230 runs respectively.
Empire Nation and New Winthorpes Lions are tied on 30 points, though Empire holds second place with a superior quotient. Empire’s bowling attack has been particularly effective, with Justin Athanaze claiming 18 wickets at an economy rate of 1.49. They will face the Lions at Factory in what promises to be a crucial match for both teams.
New Winthorpes’ Orandel Boston leads the bowling statistics with 21 wickets at an average of 6.67, making him a key figure in the upcoming encounter.
