Prime Minister Gaston Browne has assured that overtime payments for Public Works employees are being processed, with instructions already given to the Treasury to facilitate the disbursement.
Speaking on Pointe FM, Browne confirmed that provided the relevant payment vouchers have been submitted, the outstanding wages will be settled. His remarks come after concerns were raised about delays in overtime payments for workers in the Roads Department and other divisions.
Government officials have acknowledged the backlog in payments and say efforts are being made to ensure workers receive what they are owed. Browne reiterated the administration’s commitment to resolving outstanding financial obligations and ensuring timely compensation for government employees.
It remains unclear when the full payments will be completed, but workers are being urged to check with the Treasury for updates.
