Celebrating Heritage: LIAT 2020 Joins Forces with Reparations Support Commission for Gala Dinner

LIAT 2020 collaborates with the Antigua Barbuda Reparations Support Commission to host the Africa-CARICOM Gala Dinner, celebrating cultural ties and heritage

The  Antigua Barbuda Reparations Support Commission (ABRSC) is delighted to announce a prestigious partnership with Liat 2020 Limited in celebrating Africa-CARICOM Day at the highly anticipated Africa-Caribbean Dress Fundraising Gala Dinner on September 28th, 2024.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Atlantic View Restaurant, at the ABHTI, this one-of-a-kind event promises a captivating fusion of African and Caribbean culture, offering guests an unforgettable dining experience. Guests will be treated to a curated three-course African/Caribbean-inspired menu, paired with wines and delectable desserts. The evening will be elevated by live entertainment and the excitement of exclusive door prizes.

In honour of this distinguished occasion, Liat 2020 Limited is generously sponsoring two round-trip tickets to any Caribbean destination served by the airline. These will be awarded to the best-dressed male and female of the evening, adding an element of glamour and competition to an already extraordinary night.

September has been declared Africa-CARICOM Month by the ABRSC, featuring a series of carefully curated events designed to deepen ties between the Caribbean and Africa. The month-long celebration included a flag-raising ceremony, an engaging panel discussion on “Africa and the Caribbean: Building a Common Future,” and the upcoming Schools “Get-to-Know Africa/CARICOM” Program where prizes have been sponsored by the Community First Cooperative Credit Union.

The Africa-Caribbean Dress Gala Dinner on September 28th will serve as the crowning event of the month. The ABRSC invites the public to embrace this unique opportunity to not only support the Commission’s fundraising efforts but also to recognize the profound social and economic potential of fostering stronger relationships with the African continent.

Tickets for this affair are priced at $150.00 and are available through any member of the Commission. The night promises to be an unforgettable celebration of culture, heritage, and unity—one you won’t want to miss!
