Rebranded LIAT 2020 (Leeward Islands Air Transport) is set to enhance its regional connectivity by launching flights to 11 new destinations, including Guyana, starting in September 2024.
This expansion aims to provide greater access for both business and leisure travelers across the Caribbean.
CEO Hafsaf Abdulsalam announced plans for additional flights to St. Lucia, Barbados, Grenada, Dominica, and St. Kitts and Nevis, as well as larger territories in the south.
By the end of the year, LIAT 2020 plans to introduce new E2 195 narrow-body aircraft, enabling routes to Panama and possibly Miami, Puerto Rico, and the British Virgin Islands.
Abdulsalam highlighted the airline’s commitment to competitive pricing while pursuing sustainability and profitability.
The newly formed LIAT 2020 made its inaugural flight to St. Lucia in August, marking its return to inter-regional travel.
