Sean Bird, the UPP representative for St. John’s Rural East, is contemplating a departure from active politics, which may result in his exit from the party.
He has voiced concerns regarding the current trajectory of the UPP and expressed a desire not to hinder its progress.
Bird emphasized that politics should focus on fostering value and unity rather than division. Having joined the UPP to contest the 2023 general election against his relative, Maria Bird-Browne, he is now considering a potential shift to a position within the public service.
