𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐬 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠
Martin Hunte, a 38-year-old Minibus Operator of Lot 52 La Bonne Intention Housing Scheme, East Coast Demerara, was recently arrested and charged with Dangerous Driving.
Hunte was arrested by police ranks after he committed the offence on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at approximately 18:45 hours on Public Road, Kitty, Georgetown, which involved an 11-year-old Grade 7 student from Kitty, Georgetown.
The accused appeared today, Wednesday, January 7, 2026, before Magistrate Shivani Lalaram at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court #7, where the charge was read to him.
He pleaded guilty and was subsequently sentenced to twelve (12) months’ imprisonment.
