A 14-year-old girl from Johnson’s Point who had been missing for nearly a week has been found safe after being picked up by police Monday night.
Hailie Imannie had been missing since June 17 when she left her home around 1:40pm without permission, telling her mother she was going to visit a friend in Liberta but failing to return home. Her mother reported her missing to the Johnson’s Point Police Station.
Superintendent of Police Frankie Thomas revealed that last Sunday, at approximately 5:15pm, officers on patrol duty spotted Hailie in the Jennings Extension area. However, when police approached her, she ran and managed to escape.
