Board of Education launches new site to disseminate information

The Board of Educationย (BOE) has launched a site for more seamless collection and dissemination of information and the public has been asked to familiarize themselves with it in order to be better informed, and served, by the department.

This website has been developed to streamline the distribution of textbooks across Antigua and Barbuda, ensuring that students have timely access to essential learning materials. By centralizing information and providing real-time updates, the platform is a means of fast-tracking information to student bodies, teaching faculties, and parents.

It fosters a collaborative environment where users are better informed about textbook availability, distribution schedules, and related updates, in furtherance of and ultimately supporting educational goals.

Meanwhile, the vision of the BOEโ€™s Book Scheme Department is to be an integrated, motivated team within the unit that works collectively with other departments to facilitate easy and timely delivery of textbooks.

The Book Scheme Department serves schools by providing textbooks to facilitate usersโ€™ studies geared towards ultimate development and success.

Some of the siteโ€™s information include the declaration application form which can be completed online, again making the process more accessible and efficient.

Director of Education, Clare Browne informed of a meeting with the Board for a demo, primarily relating to the distribution of text books.

In furtherance of the dialog, Observer media attempted to reach a member of the Board for comment, but was unable to do so within working hours.
