Three men are assisting the police with ongoing investigations into the unlawful possession of cannabis and suspicion of larceny.
The men were detained around 5:40am last Saturday by officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and Task Force who executed a search warrant at a residence in Martin’s Village.
During the operation the lawmen seized three air-conditioning units and a quantity of cannabis.
According to the police, two individuals were apprehended on suspicion of theft and illegal possession of cannabis. They were transported to the St. John’s Police Station along with the confiscated items and a motor vehicle.
In a separate incident, a Lightfoot man is being questioned in connection with allegations of larceny after he was taken into custody. The police also seized a vehicle while in the process of their investigations, which was taken to the Police Headquarters pending further inquiries.
The police are continuing their investigations into both incidents.
