National Teams selected for ECVA Beach Volleyball Championship in St Lucia

Antigua and Barbuda will be well represented at the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) Beach Volleyball Championship 2025, taking place in St. Lucia from May 1st to 5th at the picturesque Cul de Sac Bay.

The Antigua and Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association (ABAVA) has announced a strong contingent featuring both players and officials who will represent the nation at this prestigious regional event.

In the women’s division, Antigua will be represented by Rayana Regis and Jassania Joseph while the men’s team features Khaliq Joseph and Cairon Davis, who will face tough competition from teams across the Eastern Caribbean as they aim to bring home honors for Antigua.

The Antiguan delegation will be led by Coach Olsen Joseph, who brings valuable experience to guide both teams through the tournament. Additionally, Michael Hamilton and Emroy Lee will be serving as referees, ensuring Antigua is represented in the officiating corps as well.

The championship will feature teams from eight Caribbean nations including St. Lucia, Grenada, Dominica, Antigua, Bermuda, St Vincent, Anguilla, and St. Kitts, competing in both senior male and senior female divisions.

Meanwhile, on the domestic front, recent results in the ABAVA Division One Competition saw Paragons defeating Royal Cruisers 3-1 (25-15, 25-17, 20-25, 25-17) in the Women’s Division, while Invaders swept Renegades 3-0 (25-0, 25-0, 25-0) in the Men’s Division on Wednesday evening at the YMCA Sports Complex.
