Clare Hall Secondary School (CHSS) recorded an emphatic seven-wicket triumph over the Antigua Grammar School (AGS0 in the final of the 30 overs Schools Cricket Competition to be crowned champions in the division.
Batting first, AGS posted 64 for nine in just 11.3 overs with their only score of note coming from wicketkeeper/batsman Leonaldo Drearey who made 30 from 36 deliveries. Drearey struck four fours in his knock.
Ian Jeremiah was the pick of the bowlers for Clare Hall, picking up a five-for with five wickets for just seven runs in 2.3 overs. Kisean Francis assisted with two wickets for 20 runs in four overs while there was one wicket each for Charles Abbott (1/11) and Jayden Charles (1/20).
When their turn at the crease arrived, Clare Hall were led by Charles who hit 28 of 21 deliveries, inclusive of five fours, at the top of the order. He was assisted by Abbott who made 18 from nine to guide Clare Hall to 65 for three in just 7.5 overs.
Deshawn Hoyte (1/4), Isiah Harris (1/7) and Drearey (1/35) shared in the wickets for AGS.
