ST. JOHN’S, Antigua, May 26, CMC -Police say the body discovered inside a barrel on a farm in the Bendals, a parish on the outskirts of the capital on Sunday night, is that of Kerry Oliver, who had been reported missing last Friday.
Police said that Oliver, also known as ‘Dolla Man’,” was discovered in the barrel with his hands tied and that the exact circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear.
Police said that he left his home around 9:45 pm (local time) last Friday and that during the course of investigations, they discovered his vehicle abandoned on a by-road, unlocked, with the keys inside. The vehicle was processed at the scene and later towed to the police headquarters for further investigations.
The police said he is the sixth person murdered in Antigua so far this year.
Meanwhile, police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 22-year-old Mathew Jean-Baptiste, who has been reported missing since May 5.
They said at the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a yellow, blue, and red T-shirt, short blue jeans pants, and ash grey Crocs slippers.
A missing person report was filed with the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) late on May 6 and police said they have initiated a search operation and are currently following several leads in an effort to determine his whereabouts.
