Team Antigua and Barbuda continues to struggle at Jean Pierre Under-16 Tournament

Team Antigua and Barbuda fell to another huge defeat in the ongoing Jean Pierre Under-16 Caribbean Youth Netball Tournament in Barbados, falling 34-6 to Trinidad & Tobago at the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium on Tuesday.

Goal shoot Summer Buckley carried the brunt of the scoring for Antigua and Barbuda, sinking three of her four attempts. Goal attack, Kendra Aska hit two of her six attempts while Azailiya Simon bagged one of her two attempts.

In a winning effort for Trinidad and Tobago, goal shoot Makayla Grant picked up 17 of her 22 attempts while Natalia Chapman, also playing in the goal shoot position, hit 10 of 13 attempts. Goal attack, Zweditu Alexander added seven of her 10 attempts.

Antigua and Barbuda had previously gone under to St Lucia (31-7) and Barbados (46-7).

Team Antigua and Barbuda: Kendra Aska, Zoree Benjamin, Summer Buckley, Clarissa Campbell, Serenity Colbourne, Rochell Ryan, Azailiya Simon, Makayla Scott, Tyana Telemaque, Delisha Thomas (Captain) and Kianna Zacheriah.

Staff: Martha Joseph (Coach), Jasper Blades (Primary Care) and Khandi Jones (Manager).

Also, on Tuesday, St. Lucia enjoyed a 35-19 triumph over Dominica. Goal shoot, Naija Ferdinand led for the St. Lucians, hitting 20 of 21 attempts while goal attach Clarise Nervais sank 14 of 17 attempts.
