Sea View Farm and Liberta Blackhawks picked up wins in the third round of the ACB Caribbean Parish League Dave Joseph’s Limited Overs Competition match on Saturday. Seaview Farm pulled off a three-wicket victory over Freetown in a closely-fought encounter.
Batting first, Freetown posted 132 for six from their 25 overs, with Cleton Payne and Xander Hobson each contributing 28 runs while Kief Baltimore added 24.
In response, Seaview Farm successfully chased down the target, reaching 133 for seven in 21.3 overs. Malique Jacobs led the way with a match-high 45 runs, supported by Kerry Mentore who scored 23.
Dean Williams was the pick of the Freetown bowlers, claiming three wickets for 23 runs from his five overs, while Payne added two for 29 runs.
In other Parish League action, the scheduled match between Mahico and Urlings was abandoned due to rain.
Meanwhile, Liberta Blackhawks continued their winning ways with a convincing eight-wicket triumph over Police. After restricting Police to 110 all out, with Nevil Nichols (31) and Gary Duberry (24) the only batsmen to make significant contributions, the Blackhawks raced to their target with plenty of wickets in hand.
Vishal Gobin (3/23), Clayton Joseph (2/18), Brent Joseph (2/4), and Kofi James (2/17) shared the bowling honors for the Blackhawks, before James starred with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 62. Deran Benta provided solid support with 37 not out as the Blackhawks reached 111 for two.
