SAP FC and Police FC secure First Division victories

The Freemans Village community witnessed their home side receiving a mauling on Friday afternoon when SAP FC secured an impressive 6-3 victory over the Freemansville Scorpions in the ABFA 2024-2025 First Division League.

The match saw both teams displaying attacking intent from the outset as Darius Hectorgave the home side an early advantage, finding the net in the 6th minute to put Freemansville ahead.

However, SAP FC responded ten minutes later with three goals in quick succession. Devonta Kirk Geran equalized in the 16th minute, before Tyrique Tonge put the visitors ahead in the 24th minute. Emerson Henry extended SAP’s lead just two minutes later, but Hector pulled a goal back making it 3-2 at the half-time break.

The second period continued in similar fashion with veteran Peter Byers adding a fourth for SAP FC in the 49th minute. Daniel Joseph struck the target successfully in the 70th minute before Byers secured his second goal in the 83rd minute. The final goal was scored by Kyle Graham of Freemansville in the 90th minute.

At the ABFA Technical Centre, Police FC SR demonstrated their authority with a convincing 4-1 win over Lion Hill FC SR.

Joumol Semper set the tone for Police FC SR early, breaking the deadlock in the 8th minute of play. Devon Ollivere doubled their advantage with a well-taken goal in the 32nd minute, giving the away side a comfortable 2-0 lead at half-time.

The second half saw Lion Hill’s Gavin Henry pull one back in the 59th minute, briefly giving the home supporters hope of a comeback. However, Police FC SR reasserted their dominance when Brandon Michael found the target in the 60th minute to restore their two-goal cushion.

Dimitri Scotland sealed the victory for Police FC SR in the 70th minute, making it 4-1 and putting the result beyond doubt.
