The Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority (ABAA) is reminding the public to refrain from kite-flying within the designated no-fly zone surrounding the VC Bird International Airport, particularly during the Easter season.
The authority highlights that kite-flying in restricted areas poses a serious risk to aircraft approaching or departing the airport. The no-fly zone includes areas such as Five Islands, parts of Cedar Grove, Pigott’s, Osbourn, and other surrounding communities.
The ABAA wishes everyone a safe and joyful Easter and urges all residents and visitors to comply with these safety measures and thanks the public for their cooperation.
