Six feared dead after tourist submarine sinks in Egypt as embassy says all passengers Russian

At least six people are feared dead after a tourist submarine sinks in the Red Sea

Several people have been injured and 29 others rescued after the incident off the coast of the Egyptian city of Hurghada early on Thursday

Around 40 passengers were on board the submarine, and all are believed to be Russian, according to Moscow’s embassy in Egypt

The boat, called Sindbad, sank close to the harbour, the BBC’s Wael Hussein reports from Cairo

In November, a tourist boat called the Sea Story sank in Hurghada, leaving 11 dead or missing – including a British couple – and 35 survivors
