Antigua Police Question Two in Search for Missing Nine-Year-Old

St John’s, Antigua – Police in Antigua and Barbuda have confirmed that two people are being questioned as part of an urgent investigation into the disappearance of nine-year-old Chantel Crump, who was last seen entering a vehicle near her home in Grace Farm on Tuesday afternoon.

At a press conference on Wednesday, Acting Commissioner of Police Everton Jeffers reassured the public that authorities are following several leads and that efforts to locate the missing child remain a top priority.

“We are doing everything humanly possible to find her alive and well,” Jeffers said, urging anyone with information to come forward.

Police also revealed they are examining two vehicles potentially linked to the case, with at least one owner already questioned. However, officials have not disclosed whether the individuals being questioned are suspects.

Concerns over the number of missing persons in Antigua and Barbuda have led to public speculation about a serial killer or an underground trade in human body parts.

In addition to Crump’s disappearance, police are also investigating the case of Keon Richards, Donna Marie Christian, Orden David, and others who have been missing for some time.

Meanwhile, authorities are working to identify a decomposed body found at Swetes, with forensic testing and a post-mortem examination expected to provide more details.

Jeffers said the force is making full use of available resources, but additional tools—such as CCTV cameras and advanced forensic equipment—would improve their ability to solve cases.

Authorities are urging the public to share any relevant information, no matter how small, as it could be crucial to finding Crump and solving other cases.

“We are depending on you,” Jeffers said. “We need your help to bring Chantel home.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Criminal Investigation Department at 462-3913 or 3914.
