(Antigua and Barbuda Represented at Green Climate Fund Regional Dialogue in St. Kitts and Nevis)
Antigua and Barbuda is actively participating in the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Regional Dialogue, taking place in Saint Kitts and Nevis from March 17-20, 2025. The country is represented by the Junior Minister of Health, Wellness, Environment, and Civil Service Affairs, Senator Michael Joseph, Permanent Secretary Ena Dalso-Henry, and Garth Simon and Gita Gardner from the Department of Environment.
The regional dialogue brings together key stakeholders, including government ministers, National Designated Authorities (NDAs), and other GCF partners, to strengthen engagement with the GCF. The event serves as a platform for peer-to-peer learning, sharing experiences and best practices, and identifying new initiatives to enhance climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts across the region.
Antigua and Barbuda remains committed to advancing climate resilience and sustainability, leveraging opportunities provided by the GCF to secure funding and technical support for national and regional environmental initiatives. Through active participation in discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions, the delegation aims to reinforce the country’s leadership in climate action and contribute to shaping effective strategies for addressing climate challenges in the Caribbean.
