Protests Planned Until Simbad Gellizeau is Forced Out of the Community
Angry and outraged, residents of Seatons, Glanvilles, Glanvilles Extension, Cartyโs Hill, Zion Hill, Willikies, and surrounding areas are making one thing crystal clearโSimbad Gellizeau is NOT welcome here.
Following the horrifying abduction and brutal murder of Chantel Crump, the community is now in an uproar over the release of Simbad Gellizeau, the fiancรฉ of the accused child abductor and murderer, Angela Mejia. While police may have let him walk free, the people of these communities refuse to accept his presence near their homes, their families, and most importantly, their children.
โHe needs to leaveโNOW. Not next week, not tomorrow, NOW!โ shouted one furious resident. โWe will NOT sit by and allow this man to live comfortably among us while we are burying a child. We donโt want him here, and we wonโt stop until heโs gone!โ
From Glanvilles Secondary School to Beginners Academy Day Care and Pre-School, parents are in a state of fear and disgust. โThis is about our childrenโs safety,โ one mother raged. โHow can we live knowing that someone so closely tied to this sickening crime is just a few houses away? What guarantee do we have that another child wonโt disappear?โ
Community leaders and outraged citizens are mobilizing protest action near his home, vowing to keep up the pressure until he packs his bags and leaves for good. โWe are done being silent. We are done being afraid. If the system wonโt protect us, we will protect ourselves,โ declared a father from Willikies.
The demands are simple: Simbad Gellizeau must go! The community has suffered enough trauma, and his release is seen as a slap in the face to Chantel Crumpโs grieving family and every parent fighting to keep their children safe. His presence is a painful reminder of the horror that unfolded, and the people refuse to accept it. The message is loud, the anger is real, and the protests will only intensify until justice and safety are restored.
