Residents Urged to Prepare for Caribe Wave Tsunami Drill on March 20

will take part in the Caribe Wave Tsunami Exercise on March 20 at 11 a.m., providing an opportunity for residents to evaluate their disaster preparedness.

Organized by UNESCO’s Tsunami Warning System and coordinated through CDEMA, the annual drill aims to strengthen response efforts.

Anderson Tuitt, NODS Training and Response Manager, urges individuals, particularly those in low-lying areas, to review and practice their tsunami response plans.

Safe zones in St. John’s include areas east of Independence Drive, such as the  Antigua Recreation Grounds and St. John’s Cathedral. To register, call 462-4206 or email [email protected].
