The St. John’s Rural South community now has an added layer of security with the official opening of a new police outpost in the Golden Grove/Nut Grove area. The facility, spearheaded by MP Hon. Daryll Matthew, was commissioned today, fulfilling a promise to strengthen law enforcement presence in the constituency.
Hon. Matthew described the occasion as a “proud day”, stating, “This outpost will bring a renewed sense of safety and security to all the residents of St. John’s Rural South. #PromiseMadePromiseKept.”
The outpost is expected to improve emergency response times, deter crime, and foster better community-police relations. Staffed by a dedicated team of officers, it will serve as a critical resource for residents.
The opening ceremony was attended by community members, local officials, and law enforcement representatives, all welcoming the initiative as a step forward in enhancing public safety.
