The Heart & Stroke Foundation, Antigua and Barbuda (HSFAB) proudly celebrated its 5th anniversary on February 3rd, marking five years of dedicated service and excellence in promoting cardiovascular health across Antigua and Barbuda. This video showcases the Foundation’s work over five years:
In honour of this milestone, HSFAB has curated a series of impactful events throughout February, culminating in the highly anticipated 6th Annual Cardiac Symposium that took place on Sunday February 16, 2025, at Sandals Grande Antigua.
6th Annual Cardiac Symposium: “Navigating Modern Health”
The symposium, themed “Navigating Modern Health: Technology, Mental Well-being, Stroke & Cardiac Care,” brought together renowned medical professionals to explore the latest advancements in cardiovascular health, neurology, and mental well-being.

A Month of Awareness & Community Engagement
As part of its 5th-anniversary celebrations, HSFAB scheduled a lineup of events throughout February, including:
§ February 3: Media Interviews – Commemorating 5 years of service.
§ February 7, 14, 21 & 28: “Wear Red Fridays” – A campaign encouraging the public to wear red every Friday to support heart health.
§ February 11: “House Calls” on ABS TV – A televised discussion on heart health awareness.
§ February 18: 1st Antigua Brownies Heart Health Badge – A partnership with Arter & Co to educate young girls about heart health.
§ February 22: 5th Anniversary Church Service – A moment of reflection and gratitude at New Winthorpes Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
§ February 23: MBS Heartbeat Walk – A community walk promoting an active lifestyle.
§ February 27: HSFAB Free Health Lecture – An engaging session on making heart health “Ridiculously Simple.”
