Case adjourned for man accused of shooting another in the neck

Another delay has occurred in the case of a 2024 shooting that left a man sprawled on All Saints Road with a bullet in his neck.

The committal hearing, scheduled for this week before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel, was adjourned to March 10.

This is the latest development in the case that shocked onlookers who captured the chaotic aftermath on video.

The accused, Reuben Forde, who has since been granted bail by the High Court after initial remand, faces a string of serious charges including attempted murder of Dwayne Desilver, intent to cause grievous bodily harm and illegal possession of multiple firearms – a Colt .36 revolver and a Bryco .38 pistol.

Forde is also charged with possessing one .380 ammunition and discharging a firearm on a public road.

Police reportedly recovered a pistol and spent shells from the scene of the March 24, 2024 incident where Desilver suffered a neck wound requiring urgent medical attention.
