Antigua and Barbuda has set a new record for visitor arrivals in August, marking the best month ever for the islands. Tourism Minister Charles Fernandez revealed that the country welcomed a record number of visitors via air, cruise, and yacht, solidifying its status as a premier destination.
Fernandez credited the milestone to the combined efforts of tourism partners and the islands’ allure—featuring breathtaking beaches, vibrant culture, and exceptional hospitality. He reaffirmed the commitment to sustainable tourism practices to protect the nation’s beauty and heritage.
Notable statistics include a rise in air arrivals from 17,668 in 2019 to 24,240 in 2024, and an increase in cruise arrivals from 9,617 in 2019 to 10,843 in 2024. Yachting figures are still being compiled.
