Spa Therapist at Sandals Grande Antigua Resort and Spa, Threcia Thorpe, is sharing her success story with others on the importance of tapping into learning and development opportunities that companies provide for their team members and how it can play a role in individual success.
Thorpe, who has been employed by the regional resort chain for the last 15 years, has been actively engaged in professional development courses through the Sandals Corporate University (SCU), an innovative corporate strategy focused on building Team Members knowledge, skills and attitudes, developing future leaders for Sandals.
She said, “being enrolled in the various hospitality courses throughout my tenure with the company has aided in my personal and professional development goals. The courses are very timely and have motivated me to gain additional international certification with the goal of one day becoming a spa manager.”
