More than 30 staff members at Cricket West Indies Inc. (CWI) are set to benefit from the provisions of a new Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Company and the Antigua and Barbuda Workers’ Union (ABWU).
Under the new Agreement, staff members will receive an annual salary increase over a three-year period, in addition to other improvements in working conditions.
Senior Industrial Relations Officer, Hazel Luke, commended CWI for their positive approach to the negotiations. Luke described the general tone of the discussions as “cordial and respectful”.
The Officer added that both parties recognized the impact of the ongoing economic challenges and were able to “find a middle ground” throughout the negotiations.
