Body Found in Burnt Car Last Year Believed to be Missing Man Arthur James

Information Minister Melford Nicholas confirmed in a statement to media yesterday that the burnt body found in a car at Freetown was in fact that of missing person Arthur James.

On October 30, 2021, police were alerted about a burning vehicle in the Freetown area. They would later on discover a charred body in the trunk of the car. On that very day, a missing person’s report had filed by family members of James, who claimed he had been last seen on October 28.

Police have been investigated the case surrounding James’s disappearance and the discovery of the body separately despite various reports that linked the two occurrences.

Brothers Zamir and Obasic O’Garro, along with their cousin Uroy Joseph, all of Liberta, are jointly charged with his kidnapping. They are all currently out on bail.
