Body Found at Scene of Monday’s Fire in Nut Grove

A human body was discovered among some rubble in Golden Grove at around 8:43 am this morning.

The area is the scene of a fire which left 5 people homeless earlier this week. According to Fire Chief Elvis Weaver, the St. John’s Fire Station received a call for response to a fire in Nutgrove at 3:40 am on Monday 10th January, 2022.

Upon arriving on the scene, the officers discovered three wooden structures engulfed in flames. Chief Warner said all the structures were supplied with electricity and that extensive damage had been done, however, he was uncertain whether the buildings were covered by insurance.

At the time of the report, there were no reports of missing persons- it seemed that all the family members had been accounted for- so news of the discovery of a body today has shaken the nation.

Officials are now conducting further investigations.
