US Court Finds Antiguan-Australian to Be the Sole Creator of Bitcoin

For years the only name the world had was Satoshi Nakamoto- but today, the pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin has been identified as Antiguan-Australian citizen Dr. Craig S. Wright.

On December 6, a jury in the Florida civil trial Kleiman v. Wright returned a verdict rejecting arguments that Wright had help from his former friend and colleague Dave Kleiman in the development of Bitcoin technology.

The suit was brought by Ira Kleiman, brother of Dave Kleiman, who passed away in April of 2013.

So, who is Craig Wright?

Craig Steven Wright is an Australian computer scientist and businessman who has publicly claimed to be the main part of the team that created bitcoin-the most dominant cryptocurrency, and also the identity behind the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto.  However, his claims were deemed false by the media and members of the cryptocurrency community.

Wright had also claimed to be responsible for designing the entire architecture of the worst first online casino-Lasseter’s Online.

In December 2015, two parallel investigations by Wired and Gizmodo suggested that Wright may have been the inventor of bitcoin but these claims were also subsequently shut down by the media.

Over the years, Wright has been involved in several legal battles to prove that he is in fact the creator of the world-famous Cryptocurrency. Earlier this year, he won a UK court judgment over his copyright in the Bitcoin white paper.

In May 2019, he began using the English libel law to sue people who accused him of lying about being the inventor of bitcoin including Vitalik Buterin, the founder of the cryptocurrency Ethereum, who called Wright a fraud; Roger Ver, an early bitcoin entrepreneur and advocate; and Peter McCormack, a podcaster.

“Each legal victory takes us closer to a world where digital cash is used. Not a global casino, but real digital cash.” he said in a statement.

After stepping away from the entire bitcoin project, Wright developed the Bitcoin Satoshi Version which honors the white paper’s vision of cost-effective microtransactions, while also serving as a powerful data management and valuation protocol.

BSV has been deemed as the world’s most energy efficient blockchain.
