Member of Parliament (MP) St Peter Asot Michael has released a statement denying allegations of harassment made against him recently.
According to Michael “the accusation of harassment at Dry Hill making the rounds on social media is based on a complaint to the Police that does not name me specifically but cleverly suggests that the accused is Asot Michael. In the interest of justice, I wish to set the record straight”.
The MP said never was he alone with the individual who filed the complaint against him.
He states that the accusation of harassment made to the police is unfounded, totally false and extremely defamatory.
Michael suggests that he had been set up, based on information he said he received from members of the executing of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party.
Michael is also suggesting that there is an attempt to extort US 200,000 from him for the withdrawal of the complaint.
