Twelve officers from the Beach Safety and Security Unit (BSSU) within the Ministry of Tourism and Investment recently completed a six week Beach Safety and Security training programme that was held in partnership with the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda.
The programme was held at the Sir Wright F. George Police Academy and covered areas such as: Human Rights, The Litter Act, Crime Prevention, Maritime Law and Enforcement and Conflict Resolution to name are few.
The officers were all charged to perform their duties with the utmost respect for others as the play their part in maintaining beach safety and security.
They were also reminded of their role as Tourism Ambassadors for our twin-island nation.
